Mimi Bair is a vice president on McGuireWoods Consulting’s federal public affairs team in the Washington, D.C., office. Previously, she spent eight years in the U.S. House of Representatives, working in four congressional offices and the Texas, Florida, and Ohio congressional delegations. Her focus is economic policy and the Financial Services, Budget, and Ways and Means Committees.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Mimi served as the legislative director for Budget Committee Chairman Jodey C. Arrington and Ways and Means Committee Vice Chairman Vern Buchanan, for whom she handled the Ways and Means and economic policy portfolios. In these roles she secured millions in community project funding awards for West Texas and worked closely with Committee and leadership staff on pro-growth tax reform.
She also worked for Rep. Steve Stivers, the lead Republican on the Housing and Insurance Subcommittee on the House Financial Services Committee. In this role, she worked on pandemic risk insurance and banking access issues.
Mimi holds a B.A. from Wake Forest University and is originally from Columbus, Ohio.
