Virginia Business has named McGuireWoods Consulting chairman Mark Bowles among the commonwealth’s most influential leaders their 2026 500 Power list. This is the second year Bowles has been honored with this distinction. In addition, Bowles was recognized in the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America®.
The 500 Power list, curated by Virginia Business staff research, highlights business, nonprofit, government and higher education leaders from over 20 major sectors. Bowles is recognized in the professional services sector for his leadership and consulting work with the firm, as well as his legal practice at McGuireWoods.

Bowles holds a position on the foundation advisory board at University of Virginia’s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, as well as leads on the advisory board for The UVA Center for Politics.
