In 2024, McGuireWoods Consulting’s infrastructure and economic development team facilitated diverse business expansion and new facility projects across nine states and assisted investors from seven countries on U.S. projects.
Team members engaged in 22 announced projects spanning Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and others, with additional projects pending across the country. These efforts spanned industry sectors, including data centers, renewable energy, food and beverage, medical devices, logistics, corporate headquarters, and electronic components
Working closely with government officials and communities, the MWC team achieved over $25.6 billion in announced capital investments which contributed to the creation of 3,032 new jobs.
Inbound foreign direct investment projects continued in 2024, with MWC supporting U.S. projects involving companies headquartered in Japan, Canada, China, Israel, Brazil, Denmark, and Singapore.
The infrastructure and economic development team includes senior vice president and director Chris Lloyd, senior vice president W. Ford Graham, senior vice president Tracy Baynard, senior vice president Preston Bryant, vice president Margaret Rockwell, vice president Steven Pearce, assistant vice president Joseph Beasley, and research associate Prashanth Adel. Together, they provide comprehensive services, including site selection, state and local incentive negotiations, guidance on incentive compliance, and public infrastructure funding support.
