Joseph Beasley

Assistant Vice President

Infrastructure & Economic Development

Joseph serves as an assistant vice president on McGuireWoods Consulting’s national infrastructure and economic development team. He leverages his local government experience to assist companies with site selection, incentive negotiations, and developing public private partnerships.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Joseph served as the economic development manager for the City of Concord, North Carolina, where he engaged departments across government to support the city’s and county’s recruitment of over 60 economic development projects representing approximately $3.5 billion in new private investment over a seven-year period. Joseph also supported the development and execution of public-private development agreements and performance tax-based and infrastructure incentive agreements. He previously served as a communications fellow in the North Carolina Governor’s Office and as a research assistant at the UNC School of Government in Chapel Hill.

Joseph holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University with a B.A. in political science and a minor in Spanish. As an undergraduate, he was selected to the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. He is also a proud Eagle Scout.
