Katy returns to McGuireWoods Consulting as a senior vice president of strategic communications on the advocacy team. She has over 15 years of experience in issues management and public relations.

Her background is in corporate communications and litigation support, developing cross-functional executive positioning programs and designs winning strategies for clients’ operational preparedness during emergencies. Katy leads successful client outcomes with stakeholder communications, content creation, media training and rapid response campaigns.

Katy is a trusted advisor for her clients during highly visible moments, ranging from world-renowned consumer brands experiencing data security incidents, creating risk analysis and assessments for high net worth individuals, and helping academic institutions, boards, and C-suite executives navigate leadership transitions.

Prior to rejoining McGuireWoods Consulting, Katy served in senior agency roles in New York City. She worked as a senior vice president at Rubenstein Communications for nine years, as well as a director at TrailRunner International and a vice president at Fleishman Hillard.

Katy lives in Apex, North Carolina, with her daughter and husband. She is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University.
