April is an assistant vice president of state government relations in McGuireWoods Consulting’s Raleigh office. She first joined McGuireWoods Consulting in January 2019 as an intern before joining the team full-time later that year. April assists and advises clients with lobbying and advocacy efforts before the North Carolina General Assembly and various state agencies. She has worked with clients across a variety of industries with a focus on healthcare, education, transportation, and association and coalition management. April also has experience assisting clients with multi-state legislative tracking on a variety of policy issues.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods, April worked at a campaign consulting company that assisted campaigns with grassroots efforts in races for seats in the state House, Senate, and various executive agencies. April earned a B.A. in Sociology and a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in American Politics from North Carolina State University.
