On April 22, 2025, Law360 covered the addition of Jeremy Green as vice president to McGuireWoods Consulting’s federal public affairs team.
Green joins the team with a decade of experience in the housing, real estate and financial services field, bringing distinctive strengths in public policy, stakeholder engagement and advocacy strategies to the firm.
Prior to his work with the firm, Green worked with the National Association of Realtors’ (NAR) as their federal legislative representative.
He spoke about his time with the organization, specifically his involvement in the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs adopting a policy which allows veterans using the home loan benefit to pay real estate agents directly.
“It was really rewarding to accomplish this policy change,” Green said. “It was the right thing for our veteran borrowers to make the veteran’s home loan program more attractive for buyers.”
Green has also worked with members of Congress and the administration directly to create solutions that ultimately reduce the cost of housing and plans to focus on the affordability crisis and the potential to use tax reform as a tool in this endeavor.
“Whether that’s through incentives for the development of owner-occupied homes or incentivizing the sale of homes through reducing the capital gains exclusion, there’s no shortage of ideas,” Green said.
