North Carolina General Assembly Week in Review

August 16, 2024

It was a quiet week around Raleigh this week as the North Carolina General Assembly remains adjourned until Monday, September 9 at noon. Per the legislature’s adjournment resolution, lawmakers could take up some business, such as voting to override gubernatorial vetoes or voting to adopt conference reports, while members are present through Wednesday, September 11.

During this period of reduced activity, as the legislature will reconvene just once a month through the end of the year, our Week in Review newsletter will shift to a monthly schedule. You can expect Week in Review to hit your inbox the second Friday of each month with all of the most recent happenings. If any significant updates or breaking news occurs, we will send out a special edition of the Week in Review to keep you informed between our regular monthly updates.

Mark your calendar – next edition of our newsletter will be released on Friday, September 13.
