McGuireWoods Consulting announced several promotions effective April 1, 2024, recognizing the work of individuals in state government relations and the firm’s national in-house advocacy team.
Sydney Green of the firm’s Virginia government relations team was promoted to assistant vice president. She focuses her practice on direct lobbying before the Virginia General Assembly and state agencies, conducting in-depth research, writing legislative reports, managing political giving, tracking multistate legislation, analyzing policy, and event planning. Sydney has lobbied on behalf of clients across a variety of sectors, including education, healthcare, natural resources, and agriculture.
Henry Mohn of the firm’s Illinois government relations team was promoted to assistant vice president. His responsibilities include legislative and administrative rule tracking, media monitoring, budget analysis, association management, and event planning. He has worked with clients in a full spectrum of industries, including energy, finance, healthcare, electric vehicles, and economic development. He serves on the associate board of Chicago Scholars, working to build relationships with Illinois elected officials and plan civic engagement events.
Ellie Barmish of MWC Advocacy, the firm’s national in-house advocacy team, was promoted to vice president. She helps organize regional and national issue campaigns through digital communications, legislative advocacy, and grassroot mobilization to advance clients’ goals across industry sectors such as renewable energy, healthcare, real estate, land use, and education.
Nicole McAllister of MWC Advocacy was promoted to assistant vice president. Her primary focus is working with associations to help them reach their strategic objectives and manage their day-to-day operations as well as communications, development and project management, legislative efforts, and volunteer engagement. She is currently pursuing her Certified Association Executive designation with the American Society of Association Executives.
