Frank Donatelli, executive vice president and director of McGuireWoods Consulting’s federal public affairs team, was interviewed on Aug. 25 by Fox News’ Jon Scott and on Aug. 26 by MSNBC’s Alex Witt on the passing of Sen. John McCain.
Frank is a former senior advisor to McCain and served as deputy chairman of the Republican National Committee during McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign.
During the interviews, Frank discussed McCain’s nearly 60 years of public service and highlighted McCain’s independent voice in an increasingly partisan Senate, noting that his 2008 campaign motto — “Country First” — highlighted his historic reputation for honesty and forthrightness. Frank added that in later years, McCain became the foremost defender of the Atlantic Alliance and America’s responsibility to oppose dictatorships and terrorism.
