1. PPP legislation passes Virginia General Assembly
This was a very good year for the PPP concept in the Virginia General Assembly. Several bills passed to improve both the PPTA and PPEA statutes by creating interim agreements and streamlining the review and approval process. The creation of the Transportation Partnership Opportunity Fund will provide $50 million to jump start various PPTA project around the state. Several other bills also facilitate the use of the PPEA.
