McGuireWoods Consulting’s federal team director and senior vice president Ryan Bernstein and senior advisor G.K. Butterfield were named as 2025’s top lobbyists by The Hill.
The pair was selected from over 1,800 nominations and have been recognized as “the industry’s savviest, most influential and well-connected advocates across Capitol Hill,” according to the publication.
Bernstein has nearly two decades of senior government and political experience. He assists clients with matters before Congress, regulatory agencies and the executive branch on issues ranging from agriculture, energy and transportation to appropriations and trade. This is the sixth consecutive year Bernstein appeared on the list.
Butterfield is a former justice on the North Carolina Supreme Court and a former member of Congress who represented North Carolina’s first district for more than 18 years.
Bernstein and Butterfield continue to be valuable assets to both the McGuireWoods Consulting federal public affairs team and their clients.
