On Nov. 21, 2024, Law360 covered the news that Kassidy Heckmann joined McGuireWoods Consulting as vice president in the firm’s Sacramento office.
Kassidy, a former legislative director for Assemblymember Matt Haney, worked for multiple members of the California State Assembly.
Heckmann’s legislative work included contributing to regulatory structures for consumer products and worker protection laws for health and pharmacy workers. She also worked on strengthening housing laws, land use permitting for telecommunications companies and establishing new employment discrimination standards.
“Having served as a key player in crafting legislation and working with regulators, Kassidy is well suited to resolve any policy issue our clients encounter,” said Breelyn Pete, director of McGuireWoods Consulting’s California government relations team, in a statement.
