Numerous outlets reported on the news that Steve Tippins joined McGuireWoods Consulting as a senior vice president on the firm’s Georgia government affairs team. He also is counsel with the McGuireWoods law firm.
Among the outlets that noted this news included Bloomberg, Law360, Global Legal Chronicle and Law.com. Tippins was previously the chief of staff and general counsel to the President Pro Tempore of the Georgia Senate.
Law360 noted that McGuireWoods Consulting is considered one of Georgia’s most influential lobbying firms, with what Tippins called a “very diverse and robust” state government relations team of just more than half a dozen people, “all of whom bring a very particular set of skills to the table.”
“We have essentially all your angles covered. We have great relationships and access to the executive branch, to the legislative branch, to state agencies, to local governments. We are the quintessential one-stop shop,” Tippins said.
