National publications covered the recent arrival of McGuireWoods Consulting vice president Clayton Cox, who recently joined the firm’s federal public affairs team in Washington, D.C.
Politico, Reuters and the National Journal were among the media outlets that noted the May 10, 2021 addition of the former national finance director for the Democratic National Committee (DNC). Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Cox helped lead the fundraising plan for the Biden Victory Fund, notably the most successful fundraising effort in DNC and presidential history, developed the fundraising launch plan for Vice Presidential nominee Senator Kamala Harris and served as the fundraising lead for Members for Biden, a fundraising effort of current and former Members of Congress for the campaign.
Cox noted that he was ready to find a new challenge, and told Reuters, “My big thing is bridge building. There’s a huge thing to be said right now for how people engage different groups and different partners and find people to work together.”
