Since the COVID-19 outbreak in the U.S., McGuireWoods Consulting’s National Practice team has been helping clients monitor and interpret governors’ COVID-related executive orders, and where necessary, conduct outreach and engage governors’ offices. Our team successfully worked on this around governors’ shelter-in-place orders and are now helping clients work with governors’ offices to expeditiously re-open and adhere to state regulations.

As companies across the nation navigate states’ re-opening orders, our team is uniquely positioned to help businesses have a voice in the conversation. In many states, governors have announced the formations of re-opening task forces. We have the relationships necessary to introduce companies to task force stakeholders in order to work with these panels to ensure that they are correctly interpreting re-opening regulations. MWC also helps navigate overlapping, and sometimes conflicting, state and local regulations.

Just as we helped position clients as essential businesses during the nation’s shut down, we value the importance of our clients as part of the decision-making around safety protocols and business procedures necessary for re-opening.
