NATIONAL PARKS TRAVELER: Blue Ridge Parkway Prepares for Interstate 26 Widening Project
The National Park Service has announced it intends to adopt the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s Final Environmental Impact Statement for the widening of Interstate 26 in Buncombe and Henderson County, North Carolina.  

PORT CITY DAILY: NCDOT releases sea level rise assessment for Cape Fear Crossing
North Carolina Department of Transportation released its 2019 Sea Level Rise Analysis report on its Cape Fear Crossing project last week. The report, which factors in federal tide gauge projects, predicts potential sea level rise scenarios over an 81-year-period.


Technology

CHARLOTTE BUSINESS JOURNAL: Passport partners with Charlotte, other cities on pilot that will charge e-scooter operators for parking
Charlotte is one of three cities participating in a pilot program to manage the use of electronic scooters. Passport, a mobile-payments firm based in Charlotte, is heading up the micro-mobility pilot with its own platform.
