McGuireWoods Consulting’s in-house advocacy and mobilization team, MWCAdvocacy, continues to grow, strategically expanding its depth of experience. This summer, new hires were made to address specific client needs.
Daniel Whitehead, a prior associate executive director for an accredited association management company, joined MWCAdvocacy to help strengthen and expand our event and association management services. He currently manages an association with over 1,400 members.
The most recent addition to the team, Travis Blankenship, previously worked on state legislative affairs, grassroots coalition development, communications and management of political action committees, including the Virginia Education Association and the Virginia League of Conservation Voters. He will develop and mobilize grassroots coalitions and execute strategic communication efforts across multiple states for MWCAdvocacy.
With a footprint in Texas, North Carolina, Virginia and DC, MWCAdvocacy team members include veterans of political campaigns, newsrooms and industry communication practices, and MWCAdvocacy’s three new members bring additional experience to help shape conversations and ensure key messages reach target audiences.
Whether it’s shaping conversation and policy with a compelling message, building a digital advertising campaign to effectively advance specific interests, or identifying and mobilizing supporters, MWCAdvocacy enjoys a long track record of working with clients to achieve business and community-based success.
