RALEIGH – McGuireWoods Consulting’s Raleigh office celebrated its 10 th anniversary last night with a reception at its offices thatwas attended by clients, legislators, and state and local officials.Originally started by Senior AdvisorHarry Kaplanand Senior Vice PresidentJohnny Tillett, the Raleigh office opened its doors in 2007 and has steadily grown tobecome one of the largest government affairs practices in the state.

Now led byD. Bowen “Bo” Heath, the firm has added multiple service lines and consultants to the officeto provide a wider range of services for clients. In addition to providingclients with traditional government affairs services, the Raleigh officehas expanded to add a thriving strategic communications and grassrootspractice.

“We have a broad client base that includes companies and trade groupsproviding healthcare, educational, and environmental services and products;and we provide a full range of public affairs services that includelobbying, strategic communications and economic development,” said Heath, asenior vice president and director of North Carolina Government Relations.

Kaplan and Tillett are still active in the government relations practiceand proud of the foundation they helped build.

“I still come to work excited every day to be a part of this highlytalented, diverse and experienced team that we have assembled in NorthCarolina,” said Kaplan.
