WASHINGTON, DC– McGuireWoods Consulting is pleased to announce that Mona G. Mohib hasbeen promoted to senior vice president. She is a member of both the FederalPublic Affairs group and National Multistate Strategies team, where sheworks with governors, attorneys general and other state and local electedofficials across the country.

Ms. Mohib joined the firm in 2009 and possesses more than 20 years ofpolicy and political experience. She currently represents a diverse groupof clients on a range of issues and serves as a key liaison to Democraticpolicymakers in Washington, D.C. and across the country.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Ms. Mohib was the director ofpolicy and communications at the Democratic Governors Association. She wasa member of the Obama/Biden Transition Team for the U.S. Department ofLabor, served in the Clinton White House as associate director for theOffice of Intergovernmental Affairs, and was director of the Office ofIntergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Labor.

Ms. Mohib served as a member of the Democratic National Committee from2001-2009 during which time she was Vice-Chair of the Asian American andPacific Islander Caucus. She is also on the Executive Board of the AsianAmerican Action Fund.
