Harry Kaplan (Senior Advisor, Raleigh) was recently honored by Governor Pat McCrory with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine.  It is the highest honor and award the Governor of North Carolina can bestow. Since its creation in 1963, it has been presented to honor persons who have a proven record of service to the State of North Carolina or some other special achievement, and to others as a gesture of friendship and good will.

More specifically, the Order of the Long Leaf Pine is awarded for exemplary service to the State of North Carolina and the community that is above and beyond the call of duty. It is granted to citizens who stand out in their communities and who have devoted their lives to serving others with their efforts having made a significant impact and strengthened North Carolina.

A limited amount of these awards are granted each year. To learn more about the Order of the Long Leaf Pine Society, please visit its website
