McGuireWoods Consulting today announced Anthony “Tony” Gius has joined theMWCAdvocacy practice as a vice president. He brings more than 15 years ofexperience in implementing and managing political and issue campaigns forstatewide and national political races, political committees and numerousFortune 500 companies.
“Tony is a seasoned pro who will allow us to better serve existing clientsand grow new opportunities,” said Steve Horton, senior vice president anddirector of MWCAdvocacy.
Gius specializes in managing advocacy & mobilization campaigns, and hasimplemented successful local and national campaigns for numerous nationalcorporations across a multitude of industries and states.
He worked on the Bush-Cheney 2000 and Bush-Cheney 2004 presidentialcampaigns, several local and statewide campaigns, and in the politicaldepartment at the Republican National Committee. Gius most recently was apartner and director of public affairs at a boutique firm in Austin, andpreviously ran a political technology company that served Gubernatorial,Senatorial, and Presidential campaigns as well as several national politicalassociations.
