On January 5, McGuireWoods Consulting hosted a multi-office policy forum entitled, “Presidential and Gubernatorial Transitions: What to Expect and Why Should You Care?”  Moderated by Senior Advisor and former South Carolina Governor Jim Hodges and Executive Vice President Frank Donatelli, the panel of distinguished guests provided their perspectives on the presidential and upcoming gubernatorial transitions and how government affairs professionals can best position their organizations during a change of administration.

The panel included:

    • Ambassador Stuart Holliday — President and CEO, Meridian International Center; former Special Assistant to the President and Associate Director of Presidential Personnel under George W. Bush
    • Jonathan Felts — Communications and Public Affairs Professional, The Results Company; former White House Political Director under George W. Bush
    • Franklin Freeman — Senior Vice President, McGuireWoods Consulting; former gubernatorial Chief of Staff

More than 200 clients and friends of the firm participated in the forum, which was held at our Washington D.C. office and simulcast to our Raleigh, Richmond, Columbia, Atlanta and Austin offices via the web.

Senior Vice Presidents Mike Reynold (Richmond) and Rosemary Becchi (Washington, D.C.) were responsible for coordinating and developing this successful program.
