McGuireWoods Consulting recently sponsored Virginia FREE’s first Ethics Workshop. The workshop gathered Republicans, Democrats, legislators, lobbyists, candidates for Congress and local offices and business leaders seeking to elevate the relationship between business and government in order to serve the public good with best ethical principles and practices.  Attendees shared their thoughts on how to create meaningful change in Virginia’s governance.

Senior Vice President Mike Thomas was in attendance and led a meaningful discussion on ethics and politics, in addition to presenters James M. Burke, Ph.D. and Linda L. Pierce, MBA, lead consultants at the Performance Management Group in the Center for Public Policy at the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University.
