McGuireWoods Romania client Ford of Europe held an event on March 22 at its Craiova manufacturing plant to announce a €200 million investment to begin manufacturing the EcoSport SUV in Romania starting in 2017.
Over the past nine years, McGuireWoods has served as a trusted advisor to Ford on its Romanian endeavors and has been providing support to the company with government relations and legislative matters. Since entering Romania, Ford has made a total investment of more than €1 billion contributing to Romania’s economic growth and competitiveness.
Senior Vice President Nadia Crisan (International Government Relations), who has played an integral role helping Ford build strong relationships with central and local authorities over the course of McGuireWoods’ partnership with Ford, and members of the Bucharest team played an active part in the event. Production of the EcoSport SUV will begin in the fall of 2017.
