McGuireWoods LLP and McGuireWoods Consulting were again recognized as one of the top 50 lobbying shops in the country for 2015 by the National Law Journal in its annual survey of the lobbying industry, the Influence 50. McGuireWoods Consulting came in at No. 15, with its gross revenue exceeding $31 million.

“The Influence 50 has long been the standard by which lobbying firms are measured and we are pleased to once again be ranked in the top 20,” said L.F. Payne, president of McGuireWoods Consulting. “This year marks the fifth consecutive year we’ve attained a top-20 ranking and it’s truly a testament to the hard work of our entire staff.”

According to survey respondents, McGuireWoods was the only firm where the largest amount of public policy revenue came from state and local lobbying. Almost all of the 20 largest public policy firms in Washington lobby at the state and local levels.

The Influence 50 captures the full scope of lobbying as it is practiced today. In compiling the Influence 50 list, the National Law Journal asked more than 100 law firms and lobbying organizations to share their total public-policy revenues for 2014, including a broad tally of any work within a firm’s public-policy department that did not represent legal work for compliance with existing laws and regulations.
