The McGuireWoods PAC along with former Sen. Evan Bayh and his wife Susan co-hosted a fundraising event last night for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in the firm’s Washington office. Campaign Chair John Podesta, who also served as chief of staff to President Bill Clinton and counsel to President Barack Obama, was the guest of honor. Others in attendance included U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly (D-IN), firm clients, and partners and staff from various McGuireWoods offices.
“We had a fantastic turnout and the event was a huge success raising more money than we had expected,” said L.F. Payne, president of McGuireWoods Consulting. “I’d like to thank everyone who came out to support the ‘Hillary for America’ campaign and give money to help the move this campaign forward.”
The event was the first of many McGuireWoods will be hosting for presidential candidates on both sides of the aisle as election season approaches.
