Mark Bowles, McGuireWoods Consulting Executive Vice President and McGuireWoods LLP law partner, was recently appointed by Governor Terry McAuliffe to the University of Virginia Board of Visitors. Mark replaces Dr. Edward Miller, a former faculty member, and will begin his term on June 30. Concerning his appointment, he stated the following:
“Serving on the University of Virginia Board of Visitors is a high honor and privilege, and I thank Governor McAuliffe for this appointment. But as we all well know, it comes with challenges and the responsibility to thoughtfully and forthrightly address them to the very best of my ability. The students, faculty, staff and alumni of Virginia’s flagship university and the people of this commonwealth deserve that much and more.”
