Harry Kaplan, a senior vice president and director of MWC as well as a partner in McGuireWoods LLP, was ranked fifth for the second consecutive legislative session and has now been ranked one of the most influential lobbyists for 11 consecutive two-year sessions.
Johnny Tillett, a senior vice president for government affairs in Raleigh, was ranked ninth overall, and Jeff Barnhart was ranked No. 13.
The results were tabulated by ballots cast last October through December by 63 members of the North Carolina House, 33 state senators, 159 registered lobbyists and lead legislative liaisons based in North Carolina and 36 news correspondents who cover the legislature in Raleigh.
