Just over one hour before the Senate Finance Committee will meet to markup a package of tax extenders, Chairman Ron Wyden (D-OR) released a modified version of the base package. The modifications follow yesterday’s filing of 93 amendments from Finance Committee members, and includes some provisions that were left out of the original Mark, including the look-through rule for U.S. multi-nationals’ foreign subsidiaries and the production tax credit for renewable energy.

The modified mark would also expand the Work Opportunity Tax Credit, making it available to employers who hire individuals who have exhausted regular unemployment benefits.

The modified mark is available here, and the Joint Committee on Taxation’s revenue score is here. We will provide further updates as developments occur.
