Looby joins the firm after spending the past two years at the Georgia Department of Community Health where he served as chief of the Division of Healthcare Facility Regulation. He will focus his practice on healthcare related matters.

While with the Department of Community Health, Looby was responsible for all program functions within the division which included the licensing, inspection and certification of a variety of health care facilities, services and professionals for compliance with the Department’s rules and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Conditions of participation. He is also an attorney who served as general counsel for the Medical Association of Georgia in 2011.
 
Ms. Groome has been with the firm since 2008 and was the first member of the Georgia Government Relations team. She specializes in providing counsel and strategic advice to help clients meet their corporate and public affairs objectives. Prior to joining the firm, she was director of government affairs for Waste Management, Inc., where she supported lobbyists in 12 Southeastern states and worked with them to enact and defeat legislation that impacted the waste industry.
