Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Ms. Deshields most recently served as chief of staff to the office of Texas State Senator Mike Jackson. In that position she was responsible for supervising the staff and operations in the senator’s Capitol and district offices and the Senate Committee on Economic Development. She also served as the liaison for legislative and executive offices, state agencies, lobbyists and media.
Ms. Deshields has also held numerous other positions within Senator Jackson’s office over the past 12 years prior to her appointment as chief of staff. She also served as senior policy advisor, committee clerk, legislative aide and administrative assistant.
