North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue announced that Smithfield Foods subsidiary Smithfield Packing Company will expand its facility in Lenoir County. Chris Lloyd with the MWC Infrastructure and Economic Development team led the economic incentives negotiation for Smithfield.
