Out of approximately 1,500 firms in the government relations business, the NLJ annually lists the 50 most influential based on revenue. In 2008, McGuireWoods Consulting ranked No. 29 with revenue of $12 million; this past year, it ranked 24th with revenue of $14.8 million.

“Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make this possible,” said L.F. Payne, president of McGuireWoods Consulting. “This ranking is an important reflection of the number of clients our team serves and the magnitude of the matters those clients entrust to us. As we climb in these rankings year after year, we should all be proud that we continue to grow our business and build our brand by providing the higher quality service for our clients.”
