The budget now goes to Governor Bob McDonnell for his review. He will have the ability to amend or veto portions of the budget, subject to certain limitations. The reconvened session of the General Assembly will review any such gubernatorial recommendations and act on them Wednesday, April 21 at the Reconvened Session of the 2010 Virginia General Assembly. The Governor has thirty days from March 14 to act by signing, amending or vetoing legislation, including the state budget.
