Students enrolled in the Virginia Virtual Academy of Carroll County Public Schools last week visited Virginia’s capitol. They were recognized on the floor of the Virginia House of Delegates by Delegate Ken Plum of Reston and on the Senate floor by Senator Janet Howell of Reston. After the legislative sessions, the students and parents went to the Executive Mansion where Virginia’s First Lady participated with the children in a virtual classroom. Later, Governor Bob McDonnell visited with the students and took questions on a variety of topics.
