The bi-partisan group is comprised of experts from around the state working on a variety of issues facing the next governor. Six members of McGuireWoods Consulting have been appointed as advisors to Governor-elect McDonnell’s transition team. Team members assisting with the transition include Frank Atkinson (Higher Education), Stephen Horton (Health and Human Resources), Chris Lloyd (Transportation) and Mike Thomas (Administration). McGuireWoods Consulting Executive Committee members Richard Cullen and Jackie Stone were also tapped for their expertise in Public Safety and Higher Education, respectively.

Lloyd served as Assistant Secretary of Commerce and trade under Allen, while Thomas was the former Secretary of Administration for Governor Allen.
Cullen is the Chairman of McGuireWoods LLP and is a former Attorney General of Virginia. Ms. Stone, a partner in McGuireWoods LLP, has been active in Virginia politics for decades and has received several gubernatorial appointments during her extensive career.
