As Legislative Counsel to Governor Quinn, Lindsey works directly with the members of the Illinois General Assembly on targeted issues facing state government and is responsible for advocating Governor Quinn’s legislative agenda including landmark reform of state government, passing a fair and balanced budget and enacting a state capital plan. Mrs. Anderson is also charged with the oversight and coordination for the legislative agendas of all agencies within the state of Illinois. While at McGuireWoods, Lindsay provided clients with lobbying assistance and insight on the development and execution of strategic legislative plans. Her comprehensive understanding of the legislative process and strong background in local government greatly contributed to the team and our clients. Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Lindsay worked as an Assistant Counsel to Illinois House Speaker Michael J. Madigan as well as a Mayoral Fellow in Mayor Richard M. Daley’s Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.
