On January 22, Virginia Governor Tim Kaine announced the decision by Harris Teeter, the Charlotte based grocery store chain, to locate a distribution center in King George County. The company will create 335 jobs and invest over $100 million in the facility. The McGuireWoods Consulting Business Expansion team, including Susan Liberty and Chris Lloyd, led the economic development incentives negotiations for the company. These negotiations will deliver approximately $4 million of benefits to the company.
