ATLANTA – McGuireWoods Consulting LLC announced today that Ashley S. Harris joined the firm as vice president of its state government relations department. Ms. Harris will provide counsel and strategic advice to clients enabling them to meet their corporate and public affairs objectives.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Ms. Harris was most recently director of government affairs for Waste Management, Inc., the nation’s leading waste disposal firm. She supported lobbyists in 12 Southeastern states working to enact and defeat legislation that impacted the waste industry.
Before joining Waste Management, Ms. Harris was an associate with Carlock, Copeland, LLC. She has also worked for McKenna Long & Aldridge, Lowendick, Cuzdey, Ehremann & Wagner, LLC, and as a legislative assistant for FultonCounty.
In addition to her legislative and legal background, Ms. Harris has communications experience as a former associate producer for Cox Interactive Media and as a television reporter for WRBL-TV in Columbus.
