North Carolina Governor Mike Easley announced on August 25, 2006 that Vantage Foods  will open a meat cutting and processing plant in Caldwell County, North Carolina.  The company will provide meat products through a contract with Alex Lee for its grocery operations, creating 183 new jobs and investing $21.1 million over the next three years.

Chris Lloyd with the McGuireWoods Consulting Business Expansion team assisted Vantage Foods, through Alex Lee, with the incentive negotiations.  Vantage Foods will benefit from a $360,000 One North Carolina Fund grant and state tax credits.
