Virginia Governor Mark Warner announced on December 5, 2003 that AES Corporation, a leading independent power company, will make Arlington County, Virginia the location of its new corporate headquarters.  The company will invest $5 million to expand its facility and will create 115 new jobs.

Susan Liberty with the McGuireWoods Consulting Business Expansion team led the economic development incentives negotiations on behalf of AES.  The company received a $207,500 grant from the Governor’s Opportunity Fund and will receive workforce training assistance through the Virginia Department of Business Assistance.
