Misty Harris Holcomb is an assistant vice president of state government relations. Ms. Holcomb brings 12 years of legislative experience with the Georgia General Assembly beginning with the 1998 legislative session. She comes to McGuireWoods Consulting after serving as the associate director for the Georgia Association of Health Plans. In that capacity, she played a key role in maintaining the association and focusing on health care legislation at the Georgia General Assembly.

Ms. Holcomb was previously the legislative liaison for the Georgia Department of Corrections where she guided vital departmental legislation successfully through the legislative process. She was also a communications specialist in the Senate Press Office, which involved maintaining all press relations for Senators such as speeches, press releases and weekly columns. Ms. Holcomb's communications background also includes working as a television reporter, anchor and talk show host for CNWG-10 News in Rome, Georgia.
